Michael Francis
Michael Francis was born and raised in the Midwest in St. Louis, Missouri. At age 18, in February 2003- Michael joined the United States Marine Corps. During his 4 years in the United States Marine Corps infantry, Michael deployed to Afghanistan twice and Iraq once. In February 2007 Michael received an Honorable Discharge and set out for the next chapter of life.
Michael began his college career in 2009, and in 2011 he transferred from St. Louis, Missouri to The University of North Carolina Wilmington where he would earn his bachelor’s and master’s in psychology. Michael’s focus was Clinical Neuropsychology where his area of research was with fellow veterans who experienced Traumatic Brain Injury and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.
During his work in psychology, Michael realized one of the biggest stressors for his fellow veterans was finances. Michael began working with his fellow veterans and their finances to help reduce this stressor. His passion for helping people crossing over into finances was ultimately what led him to begin his career in finance.
October 2017, Michael officially began his financial career. Since then, Michael has focused on treating finances the same way one would treat their physical and mental health. By developing meaningful and long-lasting relationships and understanding what is most important to the individuals and families he works with, Michael is able to help develop a plan specific for the individual and their family and strives to ensure the plan is in line with their personal level of comfort.
